There is nothing like everlasting happiness.
You can't be Happy forever. Happiness is more of an illusion, it is what you want it to be. You can create it, you can buy it. Yes, happiness can be bought.
The funny thing here is happiness temporary. It is like an high, in which after the effect is gone, we hit a deeper low and want more of it. Nobody takes antidepressants knowing fully well of its addictive tendencies, if the end result of the pills is not mood altering.
We will always pursue happiness, i mean who doesn't want to be happy. We all detest her brother named sadness. We all avoid it, but it still finds us. Some by our own creation, some by circumstances beyond our control.
One thing they have in common is that they are both temporary. However, while it is easy lose happiness, sadness stays longer. Because it comes slowly, creeping up every time happiness fade away.
Happiness is an illusion and it will remain so, it is what you want it to be. It is what you deemed it to be. You can choose to be happy though it'll be temporary. Even the ardent pessimist will never choose to be sad. But then....

ReplyDeleteAnd life plans aren't what we want it to be.
DeleteI want the illusion still. Everyone want it I guess.
ReplyDeleteYou can alter it being temporary. What if it's not? The end result isn't always mood altering.
ReplyDeleteThere maybe many end results, the similarity is in the act. By taking it, you seek an escape. Whether it alters the mood or not.
